WS Police Foundation Sponsored Teams Begin Season

WS Police Foundation Sponsored Teams Begin Season

As part of the community outreach initiative, the Winston-Salem Police Foundation, in partnership with the WSPD, is sponsoring two youth teams in the W.R. Anderson Elite Basketball League.  The Foundation sponsorship covers the cost of league registration and uniforms for these two teams.  The Police Foundation sponsorship also includes one dance team with the league.  In addition, WSPD officers are volunteering their time assisting with the teams during games.  Participating in youth programs such as this one is a great way for the Foundation, WSPD staff and kids to build positive relationships together, and acts at the foundation for a future Police Athletic League.

Winston-Salem Police Foundation Supports 2017 WSPD Promotion Ceremony

The Winston-Salem Police Foundation proudly supported the WSPD 2017 WSPD Promotion Ceremony by providing each WSPD ceremony participant with a special recognition plaque.  These plaques mark a significant achievement for each recipient as they embark on a new chapter of their respective WSPD careers.  The Foundation is able to support this project and others due to the generous support of several individuals, organizations and companies in 2016. Congratulations to all of the promoted WSPD employees! (more…)
