Winston-Salem Police Foundation Announces Board of Directors for 2026
Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Winston-Salem Police Foundation is excited to announce the updated leadership for the 2026 board of directors. Existing board member Linwood Davis, Jr., Principal of Sylvan Road Partners, LLC, will be leading the organization as President as Scott Somerville, retired President from Hanesbrands, shifts to Immediate Past President. Longtime community volunteer, Katie Grubbs, will serve as Vice President. Nicholas Massaro, Head of Procurement at Inmar will serve as Treasurer, while Quintin Williams, COO at Debbie’s Staffing, will remain as Secretary.
The Board of Directors also voted on the creation of a new Director Emeritus position, with founder and long-serving board member and retired Chief of Police Barry D. Rountree being appointed to that role.
Changes to the Foundation’s volunteer board also include the addition of five new members:
- Nathanael Tarwasakono – CEO, Allegacy Federal Credit Union (joined Fall 2025)
- Twanda Montgomery – Broker, REALTOR, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
- Brandi Haymore – Vice President Brand & Culture, WarmHub
- Mannetta Braunstein – retired, community volunteer
- Brooks Jewett – Wealth Advisor, Hanover Square Wealth Advisors
“The Winston-Salem Police Foundation continues to welcome board members who bring strong community ties and a shared commitment to public safety. Their leadership will help us further support the Winston-Salem Police Department through officer wellness programs, community outreach, youth engagement, and innovative policing initiatives,” said incoming board president, Linwood Davis, Jr. “Our new members will complement our current dynamic board, who care deeply about the safety and well-being of our community. We’re looking forward to a terrific year ahead.”
In addition to new members and officers, the other board members are:
Dianne Blixt, Michelle Branson, Chris Geis, Justin Gomez, Casey Hough, John Morgan, Lis Mulcahy, Joseph Rose, Matt Schooler, Ellie Shannon, and Nancy Young.
The 2026 board of directors would like to recognize retiring members: Calvin McRae II, Greater Winston-Salem, Inc.; Scott Sewell, retired Cook Medical; Kathleen O’Gara, community volunteer; John Hunt, Wealth Enhancement Group; and Simon Burgess, Mayfair Hospitality Group. Each member has made invaluable contributions, and their service as board members of the Winston-Salem Police Foundation is much appreciated.
The foundation allows for tax-exempt gifts from individuals, businesses and philanthropic organizations, and is the only organization authorized to raise funds on behalf of the Winston-Salem Police Department.
