Today is National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Although this year, in person gatherings had to be cancelled due to COVID-19, it does not minimize the importance of remembering and honoring WSPD and all officers across the country who have sacrificed their lives to keep the public safe.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

The Winston-Salem Police Foundation is proud to announce the Inaugural 'Code 2- Call for Backup' Event will be held Thursday, May 23 at the newly opened Hotel Indigo in downtown Winston-Salem. This fun and festive event will celebrate the WSPD staff person and officers of the year. It is being held in conjunction with National Red Nose Day.
